A Rooftop Photoshoot and an Announcement!

I have not posted in ages, but have some exciting news! … I will be moving to Saratoga Springs this Friday for a new job, and life!

I am very excited, and am looking forward to a new experience. I suppose the title “Caroline in the City” doesn’t seem to fit so well anymore, but, the name stays! (:

Here are some photos I took of the lovely family I babysit for (who I will miss SO much!) and their friends. Enjoy!

Fawn Paper Co at the Hester Street Fair: Postponed!

The event has been postponed due to weather! New scheduled date to come!

As some of you may know, I started a stationery company last year, called Fawn Paper Co.

I will have a booth at the Hester Street Fair Tomorrow, Saturday, May 25 from 10 AM – 6 PM.

If you are in New York, please come visit!

Below are just some of the cards from the collection:

Hope to see you there! HAPPY FRIDAY!

Brooklyn Flea

Last weekend, Dan took me to the Brooklyn Flea… which was heavenly.

I had the biggest smile on my face the whole day, and was so inspired by all of the artists there.

Brooklyn Flea

I met a couple Etsy artists, whose work I am a fan of (which was very exciting)!

I of course loved looking through all of the records and vintage pieces. It was seriously the greatest day!

What I got:

  • Bob Dylan’s Greatest Hits record (gift from Dan)
  • A vintage brooch (I’m bringing the brooch back)
  • A Brooklyn screen-printed burnout tank (Loved this artist’s designs)

I definitely plan on going back… especially when it is outdoors for the spring!

Simone Becchetti Photography

At risk of seeming completely arrogant and self-absorbed…

I wanted to share some photographs taken by the incredibly talented Italian photographer, Simone Becchetti.

It was a lot of fun, and though I’m used to being the one taking the photos, I really enjoyed the experience!

Here are some of the photos! You can check out Simone’s photography at http://www.simonebecchetti.it. He also is a contributing photographer on istockphoto, under the username SimmiSimons.

Hope everyone is having a wonderful week!

Fawn Handmade

On December 1st, I launched my handmade stationery and frame company, Fawn Handmade!

I had been working on the prototypes, designs, and packaging for these since last summer, and am very excited to finally have the online store open!

The Concept:

Fawn Handmade’s superior focus is to provide unique, quality handmade products that inspire smiles, and encourage happiness, while having the mission to make a positive difference in others’ lives.

How Fawn Handmade Gives Back:

Not only do they make for wonderful gifts, but you will also be making a difference with your purchase.

…‘Tis the season to give, and be thankful. Happy Holidays!!

Of Monsters & Men: Secret Concert

Just a few weeks ago, I went to Of Monsters and Men‘s “secret concert”; part of Intel and MTV’s Music Experiment.  The show was themed.  Probably the greatest theme possible.  The greatest.

1930s cirque! (gasp! applause!)

It was held in the breathtaking Angel Orensanz Center, New York’s oldest surviving synagogue.  The venue was perfectly lit, and the open bar wasn’t too shabby, either.  It wound up being the greatest concert experience I’ve had to date!

WATCH!: “Your Bones” live at the show! You can see Kristen and I for a couple quick seconds! (“quick” being the operative word)

Below: Instagram photos from Music Experiment’s website.

My photos from the night:

I hope everyone is having a great week!
I can’t wait to celebrate my birthday (early) with some friends tomorrow night!

All Smiles!

Not only is today my highest number of views to date!!! (Thank you, thank you to everyone who visits my blog!)

… But alsooo,

I just found out that I have been listed on “50 WordPress-Based Photography Blogs I Encourage You to Visit” on TomSlatin.com!
#12 on the list! So cool!

I am so flattered, and have a huge smile on my face!  Big ol’ goofy smile!

Today is a great day.
